Our friend Stefan is currently traveling around Japan. Here are some pics he sent of Tadao Ando's Botanical Garden in the island of Awaji.

eBay! Popup! Store!

I just stopped by the Ebay Pop-Up Store on 57th Street (and 5th Ave) to visit Zem from Eco Fabulous.

New York – eBay today opened its first pop-up store, a 5,500-square-foot shop in midtown Manhattan dubbed “eBay @ 57th St.” Located at 57th Street and 5th Avenue, the store offers samples of 400 products, which shoppers then purchase online from eBay sellers using touch-screen kiosks or eBay’s iPhone app. eBay’s trend experts will be in-store to offer advice, and eBay will have personal shoppers on hand as well.

The store also will feature on display one-of-a-kind items including from designers and celebrities that will be sold to benefit charity. In addition, all online purchases made at the pop-up shop will be matched dollar-for-dollar by eBay, up to $200,000.

The store will operate through Nov. 29, although it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Hours 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.

On Black Friday, Nov. 27, doors will open at 7 a.m.

Racey!

I love DAG.

I saw an amazing play on Broadway last night. "Race" is written and directed by David Mamet and stars James Spader, Kerry Washington, Richard Thomas and David Alan Grier. The play is a dramatic exploration of a case about the rape of an African American woman. Race comes into play between the accused and accuser, the client and lawyers, and between the lawyers themselves. Ultimately it was a brilliant study on how we behave and why when it comes to race. GO SEE IT!

Central Park

On Saturday I discovered the Central Park Conservatory Garden. It's so beautiful...definitely check it out.105th street and Fifth Ave.

At the other flea.

4 framed prints from Vanity Fair magazine by Leslie Ward, signed "Spy." I haven't identified all of the caricatures but the bottom left is Sir Richard Owen who was best known for his opposition to Charles Darwin's natural selection theory.

At the flea.

I went to the Brooklyn Flea (Fort Greene) today and saw these awesoooome chairs. I loved them but didn't even ask the price, dummy! Very Rick Owens-esque (see below)

Party!

This summer we helped out with a couple of shoots for Country Living Magazine. Last night we hosted a reunion dinner for Natalie Warady (style director at CL), Lucas Allen (photographer), Natasha Louise King (stylist, stuck on the runway in Chicago) and the proud owners of the sweetest ocean side cottage on the Vineyard. Rebecca Weitzman of 'Inoteca Restaurant created an amazing meal and a good time was had by all!

Look Caras Magazine

We were just featured in the November issue of Look Caras. It's the Venezuelan branch of a popular Mexican Magazine. The article is about the 'much awaited' VIP Hotel in Caracas. Check it out and if you happen to be in Venezuela don't forget to pick up a copy (on news stands now.)

'Let the wild rumpus start!'

Hope you had a fun Halloween weekend. I dressed as Max from 'Where The Wild Things Are': a pretend king who is really a boy pretending to be a wolf!

I have to admit there were a few Max's out there on Saturday night. However, our friend Vanessa totally rocked a Fridah Kahlo costume (a bit more original than mine). She looked amazing.

Morning

My favorite breakfast: a corn muffin and iced coffee from local. 144 Sullivan Street.
