Portuguese Sensibilty
Two of my favorite architects are Alvaro Siza (1992 Pritzker Price winner) and Eduardo Souto de Moura (2011 Pritzker Prize Recepient) from Portugal. Architects Aires Mateus are quickly joining their rank of great Portuguese Architects. Above a House for the Elderly they did in Alcácer do Sal, Portugal. White Columns
reOrder: An Architectural Environment by Situ Studio at the Brooklyn Museum's Great Hall. The existing field of columns were covered in fabric so they could be stretched and twisted into new versions of their Beaux-Arts originals.
